762271 2009-04-04 08:59:00 Get it replaced. With a retail intel one form trademe for around 20 bucks or a third party one such as the Arctic Cooling 7 Alpine/Freezer pro. Or the Thermalright ultra extreme if you afford it Blam (54)
762272 2009-04-04 09:09:00 It is Intel retail one and only 4 weeks old.

So what your saying that it has problem starting because its broken, but sometimes it just runs like now?

762273 2009-04-04 09:16:00 This (www.eggxpert.com) is also possible....wait for Wanuitech's opinion, he's experienced and should give a much more thorough diagnosis Blam (54)

Well if the CPU fan is spinning and the computer has not shut down then all is fine until the CPU fan just twitches again.

Getting information sometimes is like getting blood out of stone.

762277 2009-04-04 22:40:00 Okay checked heat sink, it is attached properly like the picture in the motherboard manual . But PC doesn't start up first time . :badpc: So I decided to see if the heat sink is very hot after each fail attempt to start up . Its cold . Surely if the CPU is over heating, then the heat sink would be hot .

So simply I don't agree that my CPU is overheating

762278 2009-04-04 23:35:00 If the CPU gets too hot, it would shut the system down. So it wont fry Speedy Gonzales (78)

762280 2009-04-04 23:47:00 Does the CPU fan spin all the time while power is supplied or does it still twitch and stop? Was thermal paste or similar applied to the CPU before fitting the heatsink and fan? Sweep (90)
