585413 2007-08-28 12:42:00 Rob99, tell me why you 'think' that posting a link to something is spam? Why did you not just link to http://audible.com, it would apear you are on some sort of affiliate program, where you make a cut if anyone was to buy after clicking your link.

Guess you have just been found out!

585415 2007-08-28 13:39:00 Apologies to rogerp, it would appear that it is geekbrief that is taking the cut, thanks to beeswax34

All I did was jump to conclusions when the URL changed, so I investigating their affiliate program. www.audible.com

Thats ok. Without the geekbrief url you can't get the free audiobook offer, otherwise I would have just posted a link to audible.com

585419 2007-12-11 23:49:00 I used to have an audible a/c a few years back
The most heavily DRM'ed stuff about
I had to load their software onto my PDA (or WIN) just to be able to play it.
On the plus side, once you paid, you could redownload the file as many times as wanted by logging into your a/c (in case you deleted the files)

Cant be bothered with it anymore. Too heavily DRM'ed

Not sure how easy it would be to get it to work on ipods
www.audible.com

Also, cant see why any site like this NEEDS a credit card no, just to access
the free offer's.

585420 2007-12-12 01:45:00 U could try this site - http://publicliterature.org

Not alot of content and getting audio onto iPods etc probly out of the question but content is free. So u can't accuse me of posting spam :)
