| 763353 | 2009-04-09 00:04:00 | Hi all P4 3.0Ghz, 1Gb Ram, X1950 Pro AGP, so yeah old system. Bought a 22" Viewsonic Widescreen to hopefully replace my old 17" normal LCD. Weird thing though, CSS source runs more smoothly, at 1680 x 1050, than before, which was at 1280x1024. Why is this? Another problem is my parents are finding some things looking to small. I tried my best to get them bigger but they are still not happy. For example some of the windows games, like Hearts, I can't make them bigger, any ideas? Cheers for all suggestions |

| 763356 | 2009-04-09 00:23:00 | But unfortunately with these modern LCDs, they only look best at their natural resolution. Changing the resolution down will defeat the purpose of having this LCD, as the display will no longer be crystal clear. |

My father tried an LCD, too small, even with messing about with the tweaks on fonts, text and dpi. He hated it. He went back to his old CRT. Get your parents their own PC with CRT or a smaller size LCD with lower res. Yours is for gaming anyway....... |
