586239 2007-08-30 03:34:00 Tackle Vista 6 months after SP1, says support CEO

If there's one word to describe Windows Vista users, that word is frustrated, says the head of a national chain of computer support centres.

How frustrated?

"Wait for six months after Vista SP1 [Service Pack 1] appears before moving to Vista," recommends David Milman, CEO of Rescuecom, which operates a chain of IT support franchises. "Microsoft certainly does need to address Vista's problems [with SP1], but we're telling customers to stay with XP for at least the rest of 2007 and through much of 2008 if SP1 is delayed to the start of that year."

586242 2007-08-30 03:54:00 Frustrated? Heck no. I'm very happy with Vista. Especially considering the fact I got it for free. :D qazwsxokmijn (102)

Last time I checked it wasn't illegal to post links to different topics in the chat section of the PF1 forum.
It is also quite a relevant topic considering the financial effect moving to Vista can have on your business, and it is also interesting to see what people's views are now that Vista has been available for 6 months-aka XP with more lipstick.

586244 2007-08-30 04:01:00 As opposed to BSD with more lipstick, designer clothes and refusing to live in ordinary houses :D PaulD (232)
586245 2007-08-30 04:04:00 XP with more lipstick.

It's XP in fcuking drag, theres a lot more than lipstick going on there. And there is a difference between posting useful links, and annoying crap. I think you'd be lucky if one in 10 of your posts are useful/helpful. The rest is senseless M$ bashing and annoying Mac promotion. I have had ****ing enough of your piss taking. Theres a time and place for almost everything, here a lot of the time is not ****ing it.

[Edit] *cough* That feels better. :blush: scuse me while I apologise.

586247 2007-08-30 04:40:00 6 months on, and I'm enjoying Vista more than ever. Most of the wrinkles that worried me have been ironed out, and I am far more efficient on Vista than I ever was on XP (granted, alot of this has to do with Office 2007 though).

Vista = :thumbs: to me.

586248 2007-08-30 04:52:00 SO until you start using Vista, shut up winmacguy? I love it regardless of its foibles and I wouldn't swap it for a 100 of your crappy plastic white Macs. beeswax34 (63)
