That sentence has to mean the thread has jumped the shark. :badpc:

586320 2007-09-01 20:59:00 You have found this from experience I take it.

With an ounce of perception, you would know that goes without saying.

A little something for you to practice.

hold one's tongue
Also, hold or keep one's peace. Keep quiet, remain silent, as in If you don't hold your tongue you'll have to go outside, or Jenny kept her peace about the wedding. The idiom with tongue uses hold in the sense of "restrain," while the others use hold and keep in the sense of "preserve." Chaucer used the first idiom in The Tale of Melibus (c. 1387): "Thee is better hold thy tongue still, than for to speak." The variant appears in the traditional wedding service, telling anyone who knows that a marriage should not take place to "speak now or forever hold your peace." [First half of 1300s] Also see keep quiet.

586322 2007-09-01 21:09:00 And if anyone thinks this is a uncalled for, Go over to a Mac site and try posting 100 threads of piffle about crap you don't use., have no idea about, and claim that your preferred is better in every instance.

Plenty of PC users do that already - with ensuing debates about their "views".

586323 2007-09-02 05:53:00 Now I know Mac's can run third party stuff but how much? basically you buy a very expensive, under powered box so you can run a lot of stuff that starts with an "i". I gladly put up with any potential threats so I have total freedom.

The writers in this months Pcworld would disagree with you on that one.

Which is of course all that matters.

I guess since the article is all about an Apple product would probably mean that beeswax34 avoided reading it. :p Even if it does contain useful and accurate information about the latest iMac.

586327 2007-09-02 06:30:00 Funnily enough the review is also about how well Parallels v3 runs Vista Home Premium on the iMac. Not too shabby according to the article. It actually rates an 8.0 by PC World. (The iMac - not Vista ;) ) winmacguy (3367)

How much does parallels & a retail copy of Vista cost? I don't imagine they would give you an OEM copy of vista with it.
