587298 2007-09-03 10:19:00 I can't imagine what sort of life one would have had to miss out on to declare love for a computer.

I don't think society is ready for that yet, though it does explain a fair bit, I supose once Apple release the iBot then it will be all the rage.

Aunty Helen might even make it a legal union for you people of the third sex.

I'm not judging you, Your just sick is all.

Muhahahahahahaha.

I haven't missed out on anything, I have great memories of growing up, family trips, etc etc, 2 1/2 years of travel overseas on my OE with hundreds of photos of those memories.
I now have a computer that I enjoy using as well from a company that designs great hardware and an OS to go with it.

587300 2007-09-03 10:36:00 It is probably something similar to people who appreciate great architecture or great landscape design by great designers. winmacguy (3367)
587301 2007-09-03 10:42:00 Gotta love how people feel the need to push their OS and all its merits on all others around them. And then you get the odd one who comes in to support them and then all of a sudden you have a whole bunch of lemmings jumping off a cliff, or a whole bunch of dogs chasing their tails.
And human beings are supposed to be of a higher intellect .. go figure :groan:

It's not often I come into bat for winmacguy, but when people start dribbling the same amount as winmac, I just have to take his side occasionally, as most of the dribble from a lot of the posts are a total bunch of bull****(and thats without winmacs posts) that have no substance to them at all

Glad you found each other, Is there to be a wedding?

Or just kept at the nudge nudge, wink wink, fishing buddies level?

587304 2007-09-03 18:41:00 Ditto.

and dont get started on the whole spyware\virus issue - with a little common sence any PC can be virus\spyware free - its not hard to click a few times and walk away or even keep using your comptuer while it scans
:p

It appears it is harder than you think to stay virus free and while it may be common sense for you it is not for many people.

The network of compromised Microsoft Windows computers under the thumb of the criminals who control the Storm Worm has grown so huge that it now has more raw distributed computing power than all of the world's top supercomputers, security experts say.

Estimates on the number of machines infected by Storm range from one million to 10 million, depending upon which security sources you believe. But hardly anyone would argue that many thousands of new PCs are being stricken by the worm each day, largely because the worm authors are continuously changing their tactics to trick people into installing it.

Lol, that could be scary
I wonder if crAPPLE have invented i-condoms or i-vaseline yet
Guess that could be next on the list of i-nventions (then again maybe Woz and Jobs have been using these products for years)

Plod, I understand the need to help the underdog, but sometimes ya just gotta let them go and make complete i-diots of themselves

587306 2007-09-04 21:21:00 Getting fed up with all the hate around here. It's not 'Chat' anymore it's mob rule.

I'll just continue to help the youngsters & oldies drowning in malware, spyware and viruses on their windows boxes change over to a clean safe Mac computer.
