| 587290 | 2007-09-03 08:13:00 | But is the choice of 50,000+ Windows apps any better or just the same than the Mac equivalent for getting the job done? You could also ask, of the 50k, what % is free?, as opposed to the macs! winmacguy, you are a windup merchant....either that or a wannabee because I dont know anyone who espouses the cause of the mac half as much as you..... You really need to get a life! |

| 587293 | 2007-09-03 09:08:00 | 10,000+ From my experience as a long time Windows user the quality of the Mac software is far better than most written for Windows. Wouldn't risk installing much of the cheaper Windows software anyway. I love my Mac as do most Mac users. How many of you can say the same about your Windows boxes? I couldn't. |

| 587296 | 2007-09-03 10:08:00 | I can do whatever I want with it and I din;t get ripped off while doing all of this! I didn't get ripped off either, and I didn't have to build anything to enjoy creating stuff on the Mac. Zen of Mac You don’t think, it just works. As software engineers, systems administrators, or people that are very technical, it can be difficult to just not think about your desktop computer. The reality is that you are more productive on solving your other problems when you don’t think about your computer, it just works. www.oreillynet.com |

| 587297 | 2007-09-03 10:13:00 | Hell yeah I love my Windows box . BECAUSE I made it, I can do whatever I want with it and I din;t get ripped off while doing all of this! Ditto . i like my windows box cause i MADE it - to MY tastes\specs its not loaded with crap - it thrashes the F*$K out of any competing mac i have seen for at least half the price of a competing mac and will continue to do so for a very long time cause at least i can pull the thing to total bits and upgrade it without voiding my warranty or sending it away for 2 months and paying $85 for some work to get done on it why buy a mac to run XP\Vista when you can build\buy a PC for a LOT cheaper and do the same exact things your fancy bloody mac can do? and dont get started on the whole spyware\virus issue - with a little common sence any PC can be virus\spyware free - its not hard to click a few times and walk away or even keep using your comptuer while it scans and now the fun bit - one thing i LOVE about macs (pink iMac in particular) is the fact the little handle is PERFECT for a boat anchor OR getting a few mates and a farm ute and tying it to the tow bar and going for a cross country dash - only to have the mac's handle break off at 75km\h and roll into a concrete strainer post at 60KM\H and smash so hilariously we had to stop as i could not see where i was driving i was laughing SO hard - and YES it was a perfectly good mac running OSX 10 . 2 ( i think might have been . 3) and was in prefect sale able condition before its little escapade - we just did int want to unleash its evil on the unsuspecting world that is southland :P - we did int want to be cruel to the people - so we put the mac out of its misery in a spectacular fashion  I thought the handle would have been good for 125km\h . - a shame they build them out of cheap stupidly designed plastic :p ahh the memories :p |
