| 586269 | 2007-08-31 02:47:00 | I do agree that he posts a lot of garbage, but hey so he’s not the only one. I wouldn't say the articles I post here are garbage. I just happen to post articles that cover reports which talk about a few of the pros and most of the cons on the Windows platform as written by the likes of Infoworld.com, PCWorld.com and a few others, as well as articles relating to some Apple products like iPods that a number of PF1 members own or use, as well as up an coming products like the iPhone. If people don't want to read the posts they don't need to click on the links. I do agree though Rob99, I am not the only person who posts assorted links on this forum. |

He has just provided a link to the crapness of Vista and I am sure he is not the author of the article. You guys can retaliate back with a couple of links to the "grand vista" of Vista, but if you have got nothing good to say, click the X on the top right corner. Hell, I hate social networking websites such as Bebo.com or Facebook, but have I ever picked on a Bebo freak on this forum before? Just my 2 cents. |

Its always MS is bad and Vista is c**p etc. Face it, Macs are not perfect or are you too blind to see that reality? I never said that Macs were perfect, they just tend to get much higher praise from PC Mag writers who review them than PCs and Windows. In a Land of Alike Laptops, Weight and Battery Life Are Key Not every manufacturer is stuck in this rut: Apple's well-crafted machines have been gobbling up market share, even though the MacBook and MacBook Pro cost more than many other laptops. Manufacturers of laptops that run Windows complain about having to compete in a commodity market yet fail to make their machines less of a commodity. www.washingtonpost.com Mac hardware certainly has its faults (as is discovered and commented on by various Mac based sites with each Mac model that comes out). [/Quote] Its always MS is bad and Vista is c**p etc. I wonder why so many independent businesses and corporations say that about MS and Vista? Especially after Vista has been out for 6 months... |

It's really hard to make a secure and reliable OS when many low-lifes make it their life mission to crack, find security faults and make malicious programs to exploit the OS. Businesses are understandably skeptical about new changes; but many are also jumping into the bandwagon. PC World as far as I know embraces Vista. |

Businesses are understandably skeptical about new changes; but many are also jumping into the bandwagon. PC World as far as I know embraces Vista. Actually I think it is more of a case of Vista being forced to support so much insecure legacy code from previous Windows versions as opposed to the Windows market share and hackers that makes it such an easy target. I would expect PC World to embrace Vista- they are PC World after all. Although in a recent PC World video clip that I saw, the editors weren't exactly raving about Vista, a couple of them seemed somewhat happier with XP. |

| 586277 | 2007-08-31 08:12:00 | lol, winmacguy posts one harmless link and the whole forum goes up in flames. seriously, he is the most effective troll i've ever seen, even if he doesn't mean to be  for me it's not the links, but his extreme bias, habit of cutting and pasting propaganda, using steve jobs' proaganda as gospel, his generally weak arguments, poor excuses, AND his habit of posting irrelevant information to try to distract us whenever something anti-mac is said and he can't find anything on macworld to refute it. jeez guys, instead of downing him just prove why you think he's wrong. |

(accurate fact based articles rather than FUD based articles/links if you can find them- FUD based includes the market share myth etc) seriously, he is the most effective troll i've ever seen, even if he doesn't mean to be  |
