| 763429 | 2009-04-10 08:08:00 | The drive is dodgy and was replaced under warranty. The owner has asked me if I can recover any pictures from it. How do I manually mount it? Its a Sata directly connected to Sata2 Originally from a MAC laptop as stated in the first post. If drive is still installed in the mac connect it to a pc with firewire. Start the mac up holding down the T key. This will boot the mac into target mode. Its drive should then mount on the pc as a removable drive. |

Knoppix needs to load the module to access mac formatted drives (when I last tried it). www.knoppix.net Knoppix is more forgiving of bad drives (I've used it a few times to get data off a dying mac formatted drive). Under OS X itself there is software like Diskwarrior.. |
