Clcik start, type in CMD, RIGHT click it, run as administrator. type in netsh int ip reset logfile.txt ,<Press Enter> reboot and see what happens. |

| 763507 | 2009-04-09 20:45:00 | Other way around - XP uses MSHOME and Vista/Windows7 use Workgroup. Any XP I have ever installed uses Workgroup. I never came across MSHOME in any previous MS OS's until I did the first Vista install. |

| 763509 | 2009-04-09 21:39:00 | Every Vista Install I have done and thats plenty has always had the workgroup as Workgroup - even W7 does the same. Some of the service packs may have changed it to workgroup in XP Hm - but in Pro it is Workgroup. |

| 763511 | 2009-04-09 22:05:00 | Any XP I have ever installed uses Workgroup. I never came across MSHOME in any previous MS OS's until I did the first Vista install. it used to MS home for XP. As quoted from Microsoft Technets site (technet.microsoft.com) -- The default workgroup name in Windows Vista has been changed to WORKGROUP. In Windows® XP Home Edition, the default workgroup name is MSHOME. If you upgrade a computer running Windows XP Home Edition to Windows Vista, it will keep its existing workgroup name. The XP Pro does have Workgroup as default. |
