763333 2009-04-09 08:38:00 Thank you for that, you seem to be very well informed.
My research tells me the 120mm Fans are quieter than the 80mm because they turn slower. Would that be the case.

Stick with the NeoPower. They have the best efficiency and in a review actually handled more than its rated 650W comfortably. I have the 550W Neo, which I find is a lot like its 650W brother. The 550W has triple 18A +12v rails while the 650W has triple 19A +12v rails. And probably a few more amps on the +3.3v and +5v rails, but the ones offered by the 550W is enough for most gaming systems.

And you would be very surprised at how quiet these NeoPowers are. I'm sure blam6 will agree with me when I say even under load the fan on these PSUs still runs like a whisper.

763336 2009-04-09 10:51:00 OK you talked me into it, with the 650 there is a Blue & a standard.
Which one are we talking about?

The blue version just has blue LEDs on the fan. Nothing fancy.

763338 2009-04-09 11:25:00 Are you sure, I was just reading a review & it said the std has a 80mm fan & the Blue has 120mm.
I found a 650 Blue on iFocus for $190.86 but none in stock.
I've emailed them but probably won't hear back until after Easter now.

Well, other than the size of the fan (and therefore the orientation) there is really no difference between the standard and blue editions.

The earthwatts is good, but I think its slightly less stable over the Neopower, and it isn't modular either:(

Still a dam good deal though;)
