| 586716 | 2007-09-02 00:22:00 | I belong to a Hi Fi club and I really get a laugh at some of the meetings we have when we try differant speaker cables and interconnects supplied from differant dealers from the statements some of the members make on how differant each one sounds. I come away from these meetings slightly confused as they all sound the same to me. Anyway if they do sound differant you can get the same effects by adjusting the tone controls on your amplifier. :) |

| 586717 | 2007-09-02 01:44:00 | the cables do help with the high frequency range. however most of the people that buy this sort of gear and have interest in quailty sound often have poor hearing in the high frequency range (which naturally gets worse as we age). so basicly a lot of older people simply cannot hear anydifference. also there is the "know what your listing for" problem. most people don't know what quality is (reguardless if its music/picture/food/etc) and it takes a lot of time to learn. |

Ah..."Golden Ears" A friend of mine is one of those guys, he paid $200.00 for the "Golden Ears" cd set and hundreds of dollars to get all the bells and whistles, then he tells me that I cannot tell the diference because I hadn't done the "Golden Ears" course. Lucky me I thought. |
