Interesting to note then that it was VW that approached Apple. One would imagine that VW must be looking forward Apple's design in put on the potential iCar.
They must like the fact that Jonathan Ive has been influenced by the late German Industrial Designer, Dieter Rams. en.wikipedia.org

586158 2007-08-30 07:50:00 On a par with other models of cars I would imagine.

No I would say they are a lot worse than most brands. From personal experience,a VW polo had 3 clutches fail in 2 years, and it then failed again after the warrenty period. This was a known problem with that particular model. The Dog and Lemon guide also gives VW a bad ranking in terms of reliability. The new Passat is also supposed to have all sorts of problems. They are the same company that make Skoda... enough said.

For relibililty you can't beat Japanese cars. Toyota/Lexus, Subaru and Honda are all good cars for relibility.

hey man dont start that - you gave me a fright there :p

"yeah i had to change the oil on my iWagon yesterday - i needed 3 people to help me and had to buy this generic oil that is a LOT more expensive than the good stuff i usually get - because no other oil is allowed in this car cause it will void the iWarranty"

YE GADS!

i pray that a day like that never comes :stare:

That might be true of the Skoda of old, but not the newer Skoda models. You don't compete on the WRC with a crappy Skoda.

They still aren't relibable. Check the D & L for proof on Skodas unreliabilty. Peugeot also compete on the WRC, and they have shocking reliability. We had a 406, and we sold it after all the expensive electrical repairs that it needed doing to it, and it was only 5 years old. There was no reason why it should have needed tthe repairs, just badly made. My advice is to avoid all european cars, and go japanese, if you plan on keeping your car for more than 3-5 years. Until you have a lemon or a car, you can't imagine how bad it can be. People assume that all cars these days are pretty relibable, but that is so wrong to assume that. I think the Dog and Lemon guide should be compulsory reading material for anyone buying a car.

586162 2007-08-30 15:42:00 From what has been stated, a VW is the ideal vehicle for McTards.
iWagons and iDiots go well together. ;)
