586379 2007-09-03 22:14:00 Reason is no part of the standard equipment for a born again mac fundamentalist. They are determined to have a Mac on every desk, and until that day, push Macs to the point of 100% pain in the arse.
We used to dismember and burn people of that ilk in the good old days.
I carry no candle for Vista, but would assume that there are more people using it than using macs. Strangely, both are selling for the same reason by and large; - - they are perceived as fashionable.
We will have no Americanisms here.

So your claiming that you can order an Mac from the shop with any hardware configuration you want? Or select any piece of after market hardware and expect it to run on your Mac? You can play all the games currently available? You can get your Mac hardware for the exact same price as a custom built PC?

586381 2007-09-03 23:48:00 So your saying that Vista is selling better that what the IT media is reporting and that people are actually enjoying using it overall?

no, i hate vista. the only part of vista i like is the new look, and i can get that on my xp anyway, and, as said above, the only reason that both vista and mac sell is fashion.

what i'm saying that when you keep posting questionable articles, people tend to disregard any other article you post as we know you aren't above "selective reporting". it's getting old, and if this thread hasn't conveyed it to you already, your constant pushing is actually turning people off mac

586382 2007-09-04 02:17:00 Although you may start an evening with no strong feelings one way or another about cats, their continued serenading can rapidly alter your viewpoint.
Similarly, macerwauling is prone to have the peasants fetching the pitchforks and burning torches. While the cacophony continues, all macs and macists are liable to be caught in the enthusiastic flame - up.

(Is it a coincidence that masochism and mac-os-ism seem so closely related?)

You can play all the games currently available?
There are numerous limitations especially from a PC gamers point of view and I have never disputed that. It is an area that Apple needs to work on.

You can get your Mac hardware for the exact same price as a custom built PC?
NO. But you can't get a factory standard PC for the same price as a custom built PC either - probably why you got the custom built PC in the first place.;)

Or select any piece of after market hardware and expect it to run on your Mac?
YES. Unless your talking about some specific sorts of game controllers or something, otherwise it is pretty much "plug and play".

Not long at all actually, didn't even think of it till you mentioned. Perhaps you should try a hunger strike until auntie helen ban's mac's. Lets all pray she doesn't give up after 50 or so days.
