2007-09-02 20:02:00 | so why install it? why pay for two operating systems? that way you're still locked into mac hardware and still have the virus risk on the windows install, and you're paying a premium for all of it! answer: mac DOES NOT have all you need on it, it is still too small a platform; so stop raving on about how you can just use icrap and get a life! so whats wrong with mac hardware? the way I see it it's some of the best designed stuff in the world... some people like there computer to actually look nice.. it's nice to be able to leave the damn thing on standby... its nice not to have this huge clunky box in my way all the time. It's really nice to see that someone cares about looks. As far as I'm concerned, macs are one of the best designed personal computers on the market and, one more thing, mac has all I need to do on it. have you ever thought that some people that buy macs use it for the sake of it's easy multimedia features? That some people dont need half of the crap that you use?when we say macs have all you need, we are looking at the [B]average user.[ so shove that up your pipe and smoke it:blush:

2007-09-03 02:29:00 | Views from another Computer world user regarding the up and coming SP1 update for Vista Perhaps more than any other Microsoft operating system release, Windows Vista is making slow progress and user gripes are not hard to find. Ive been using it for the last few months and have to say, the more I get to know Vista, the less I like it. My major bugbear is its slow. Slow to start and slow to stop. Then there are the driver issues not directly Microsofts fault but very directly Microsofts problem. Other users will have different gripes, but Im a simple soul. I wish Id opted for XP (or maybe OS X). computerworld.co.nz

2007-09-03 02:44:00 | so whats . . . some people like there computer to actually look nice . . it's nice to be able to leave the damn thing on standby . . . There it is in a nutshell . It's only when they want to take it off stand-by and use the thing that the limitations appear, but as an ornament, the macs are adequate for some tastes . ;)

2007-09-03 02:48:00 | There it is in a nutshell. It's only when they want to take it off stand-by and use the thing that the limitations appear\ And those limitations would be what exactly? If your going mention them you could at least provide some examples.

2007-09-03 02:53:00 | It is difficult to explain colour to the blind. Try taking one off stand-by some time (with one of the nurses watching over you) and discover for your self.

2007-09-03 02:54:00 | I take mine off Sleep several times a day, no problems at all. I never turn it off apart from restarting if required after security updates. Your "other" examples would be?
