764168 2009-04-12 05:28:00 My website has vanished. CP is inaccessible too.
And email also - as its via my domain.

Any way to find out whats happened? Useless hoster couldn't help as its holidays and only non-techs there at the moment.

I have a forward to domain mail from my ISPs mail and theres mail sitting there from Wednesday.
Suspiciously I think that was about the time my domain came up for renewal.
Whois shows its active though.

Of course its down, she can't even access CP!

Maybe the host servers are down, what host are you on?

764172 2009-04-12 05:44:00 Your domain name doesn't expire until 2nd May - so you've got a bit of time yet.

Was your email hosted by your web hosting company, or did you have it hosted elsewhere (Gmail, or another service provider)?

Edit: Looks like your nameservers are down - dns1.phage.net.nz and dns2.phage.net.nz aren't resolvable. You should raise a Sev 1 incident with your hosting provider (and get the non-tech people to call whoever the on-call tech is), as this is probably affecting other people too.

Do you know what the IP address of the server your website is hosted on is? If so, we can verify whether it's just the nameserver that's gone, or your webserver itself that's gone.

764176 2009-04-12 06:39:00 Ah, someone got through to them then:

We are currently experiencing some issues with Phage server. Technicians are investigating and it will be resolved ASAP. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this.

Time to move hosting I think.

764177 2009-04-12 06:45:00 Host it yourself from one of your Own PC's - then all you need to do is get your ISP to redirect your domain name to your IP Address and away you go.

Chill helped me setup mine - works great - Well as soon as I get around to finishing it :o - Works from my IP address only so far.

then I get Telstra to redirect and its away - Will cost me nothing to get the IP redirected. ( Telstra host my domain name as well - so that helps)
