| 763992 | 2009-04-11 14:03:00 | i have got a old gw-7100p wireless card which works however either the software or the card is a bit temperamental when it connects :groan:, once it does connect its rock solid but the initial connection seems to take its time or need several restarts and is somewhat random, it connects after a few minutes to up to several hours sometimes.:groan: current router settings: 802.11b only wep 64bit auto bitrate 2.4Ghz RF channel 6 even with encryption off and various other card settings it doesnt seem to affect the connection establishing time os 98SE Driver Version = 5.119.0127.2003 i would use a slightly more modern card however i did buy it for my old laptop and it doesnt work on XP properly. |

| 763998 | 2009-04-12 14:10:00 | the last few times i have rebooted the card has been connecting almost immediately after the utility executes, i think it just needed a friend, eg another wireless card established to the same router, maybe or free rein to the router before the other card connects | williamF (115) | ||
