763825 2009-04-10 10:05:00 Hi All,
I think I might have a trojan that at this point has yet to be picked up by Avast, Webroot SpySweeper, Adaware, Process Guard, CC Cleaner etc.

So, Iexplore runs on its own (I dont use IE ever, only Firefox). I open the running processes and its there, chomping up the CPU. I've tried SO many things to figure this out. After running all the above and more, somehow I can no longer connect to the internet wirelessly (had to plug into the modem directly) AND (this is weird) now windows asks me to Log-in when pressing and Ctrl-Alt-Del instead of usually taking me to system processes running, I now get a Windows Security window with options of processes, logoff, shut down etc.
Any ideas?
Here's my HJT log-- thanks SO MUCH in advance for any insight onto this annoying issue!

Get trojan remover and malwarebytes below, update both then scan. Then select all options under utilities in trojan remover.

Get rid of spysweeper, ad-aware

But, download Trojan Remover (www.simplysup.com), update then scan

After that, download, install and update MBAM (download.cnet.com) then scan

Next, Download Spyboy S & D (www.safer-networking.org) and let it remove any spyware

See if that changes anything.

Get rid of spysweeper, ad-aware

Spysweeper is not a bad program.
AdAware isn't that great lately.

However I would use SPybot as well as your current detectors.

X2 Agree - Dont disable Spysweeper from starting

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpySweeper] "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WebrootSecurity\SpySweeperUI.exe" /startintray

leave that one - if you remove it the software that you PAID for wont work, as it does have real time protection, and needs to run.

Got it on several PC's here and has stopped several infections from entering.
