588521 2007-09-06 08:12:00 Is just my effort to show those that complained where I got my sig from, Wouldn't want them thinking I'm sitting here writing poetry about sexual acts with dead bodies.

Though, In my defense I consider it an excellent song.

588522 2007-09-06 09:59:00 Used to be one of my favourite artists.

Hell, he still is. I've got many of his albums (and CDs now) and can now enjoy the DVDs which have been released.

'Cold Ethyl' has similar lyrics (involving necrophilia), off 'Welcome to my Nightmare'.

588523 2007-09-06 10:02:00 This was always my favourite

Go To Hell
For criminal acts and violence on the stage
For being a brat
Refusing to act your age
For all of the decent citizens you've enraged
You can go to Hell
For gambling and drinking alcohol constantly
For making us doubt our parents authority
For choosing to be a living obscenity
You can go to Hell
You're something that never should have happened
You even make your Grandma sick
You'd poison a blind man's dog and steal his cane
You'd gift wrap a leper
And mail him to your Aunt Jane
You'd even force-feed a diabetic a candy cane
You can go to Hell
You're something that never should have happened
You even make your Grandma sick
For criminal acts and violence on the stage
For being a brat
Refusing to act your age
For all of the decent citizens you've enraged
You can go to Hell

588524 2007-09-06 10:16:00 I was a big fan for many years, then realized that 80 percent of his albums were rubbish, And he has a lot of albums.

I still play a fair bit of his stuff from the late sixties through to Welcome to my nightmare, and his one and only metal album Raise your fist and yell has some classic material on it.

Welcome to my nightmare should be enforced listening for every person on the god damn planet, Thats a prime example of a commercial album made with integrity, humour, and darkness.

Maybe I should have gone with Devils Food instead, That ones just about the eating...

oh, and the cooking.

and the killing

But really, its a sweet song.

Get ready for the lady
She's gonna be a treat
Simmer slightly 'til ready
Make her soft too
Make her sweet
I kiss the tears off from your chest
I felt the poison fright that's in your breath
I knew your precious life and I know your death
I squeeze the love out of your soul
All the perfect love that's in your soul
You're just another spirit on parole
Devil's food
Devil's food
Devil's food

I don't know if its been released on DVD but I got the movie that accompanies the Welcome to my nightmare album via a torrent site, Its crap in a 70's variety stage show kind of way but well worth watching for the Alice fan.

It was poor quality and obviously captured from an old VHS tape so I deleted it after a few months.

I got that one myself but also got Brutally Live and Prime Cuts, later concerts and reasonable quality. I remember the Billion Dollar Babies film at the theatre back in the 70's. I think this is available now in DVD under a different title but is probably VHS quality.
