| 588172 | 2007-09-05 06:12:00 | We want to use the speakers of our TV to amplify the signal from an MP3 player, so we got a "Stereo Plug to 2 RCA Plugs" cable from DSE. But it doesn't work, no matter which red and white holes in the TV we plug the red and white RCA plugs into. Are we doing something wrong? Have we got the wrong sort of cable? Or is it more likely to be a faulty cable? Any advice appreciated. :) |

Watch out as one set will most likely be outputs. Which ever AV input you use you will then have to set the TV to that input with the remote. |

It will differ from tv to tv, try plugging the video output from a dvd player or vcr in with the audio from the mp3 player. That should do the trick. | wratterus (105) | ||

The reason we want to do this is for our bach, where we don't have a stereo, but we have a TV (connected to Freeview). So, we just need to swap the red and white cables for the Freeview with the red and white cables from the MP3. Then we'll get a picture but with MP3 sound. That's great. Thanks for your help. |
