I far as I see, the decision on where the body was to be buried, was NEVER given to the extended family, I cannot understand how you believe it is fair to the immediate family to negotiate unless perhaps, you are part of the minority group? Absolutely - I consider it appalling that the extended family just went ahead and snatched the body without permission from the next-of-kin. The issue, however, is now a Court ordered exhumation. No matter how this situtation came to be; the body has to be exhumed from a burial ground. There are other people's remains buried there - and quite peacefully too, I'm quite sure. Those people's families have an absolute right not to have the place where there loved ones are buried become a place of armed conflict. The Police are doing the right thing by them, I reckon. |
