2007-09-03 23:04:00 | Aaah, but NoScript also kills a lot of useful features on this site, such as AJAX quickreply, multiquote etc. It doesn't...I have allowed pcworld.co.nz, but not all of the advertising sites or fairfaxbm.co.nz. Site works fine, no peel-me ;)

2007-09-03 23:23:00 | NoScript does NOT kill quick reply. Its so weird that all the time people have to find new code or something to block the peel-me but for as long as its been there, NoScript/Adblock Plus has been taking care of it for me without me having told it anything. If any features are blocked by noscript, I just allow it temporarily and all is fine. BTW the peel-me is actually blocked by Adblock Plus.

2007-09-03 23:42:00 | NoScript does NOT kill quick reply.I never said it killed quick reply, I said it killed AJAX quick reply. If javascript is disabled it degrades gracefully. Its so weird that all the time people have to find new code or something to block the peel-me but for as long as its been there, NoScript/Adblock Plus has been taking care of it for me without me having told it anything. The reason for using CSS rather than Adblock etc is that the CSS does a much better job of tidying up the page. AdBlock just removes the ads. AdBlock is also a Firefox extension, not an Opera one.

2007-09-03 23:50:00 | So is this just a Firefox problem?, I am one of the few users who actually use IE with IE7 Pro and have had nothing of the Peel Me problems or any others. Go figure :waughh: | intel hunter (6666) | |
2007-09-04 00:29:00 | You probably have a pretty comprehensive hosts file blocking it then, or you don't have flash installed. It's not just a Firefox issue. | Erayd (23) | |

2007-09-05 02:34:00 | Funny enough..if I come here to F1 on one of my older Dell 750s with XP-Pro..I don't see the peel... But..on anything a little larger (more RAM, better speed etc) there it is and I have to get the properties and insert the url or the individual identifiers to block it. Hmmm........
