764704 2009-04-13 22:38:00 I've been given a D-Link DBT-122 Bluetooth USB adapter recently, and I thought I would give it a go again (to transfer files to my Samsung SPH-M300 mobile phone.).

Now I know I'm stupid but for the life of me I can not get files transferred. I've also read the manual, but I don't even know what they are talking about. Is there anywhere on the Net a set of simple instructions how to use Bluetooth?

Any sane suggestions appreciated.

ps. I saw that this adapter cost about $100 at HN!!

764705 2009-04-13 22:53:00 Well, all I did was select the BT option on the phone, (make sure its on, and not hidden, always visible), select wait for request.

Run whatever program on the PC, do a scan, it should pick the phone up. Put a few digits to link the 2. Once the phone picks it up, give it access. Thats it.

You can xfer to and from the PC / phone.

764708 2009-04-14 00:11:00 Yup you need to put a 4 digit # in the program , when the phone picks it up when you scan, (after up select wait for request), type in the same 4 digit # (on the phone) to make it secure between the PC and the phone Speedy Gonzales (78)
764709 2009-04-14 00:39:00 The adapter should have come with file transfer software, you can also use that to communicate with the phone once connected.

Make sure on the phone you save the PC as a "trusted" connection, so next time you don't need to enter in the passkey

764710 2009-04-14 00:43:00 Shouldnt have to connect it with a cable, and you should only have to do it once. Once its done, it should connect every time you connect to the PC later on Speedy Gonzales (78)

764713 2009-04-14 02:44:00 And what kind of files, are you trying to transfer?

I would go here (www.dlink.com.au)

Select DBT then 122, then click on go, then go through the options here
