(taking the stands at the back wouldn't do the concert justice for a mosh pit fan like myself) He he, I feel smug. A spare GA ticket? That's like asking a smoker if they have a spare cigarette! ("No! I have a plan for every single one!") I found out about the concerts in August, and have been haunting the ticket websites waiting for the presale. A friend informed me on Sunday that C4 had the presale password on their website (supermassive) for presale tickets on Monday. I got up early on Monday morning to buy tickets, but the presale password didn't work for the Auckland show (TicketDirect), though it did work for the Chch show (Ticketek). I went to the muse website (www.muse.mu (http://www.muse.mu)) and they listed a different presale password (knights) which worked at TicketDirect. So I bought three GA tickets at 6am, three hours before the presale was due to start - no fuss. At $71ea, the tickets were a bargain - I would have paid any price, and fully expected $100 - $150. Tickets arrived yesterday by courier, just hours after the general sales started. I saw Muse at the BDO this year, having been a fan for going on 3 years. IMO, they are the greatest rock band ever (don't care what anyone else thinks). Muse gave the best performance of any act at the BDO, and the news they were coming to NZ for a proper concert was the best news all year. I guess the only choice is try for free tickets through C4 or the Rock, or check out Trademe in a couple of days... |

Also, Hullabaloo Tour DVD, and assorted singles with B sides. Though there is no such thing as a Muse B side. ;) They are the only band I would say has no bad songs at all. If you want to try out some songs before you buy the albums, look at Sober, Muscle Museum (Showbiz), New Born, Plug In Baby (Origin of Symmetry), Sing for Absolution, Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Butterflies and Hurricanes(Absolution), Starlight, and the epic Knights of Cydonia (I could go on, so I'll stop). |
