589653 2007-09-09 20:00:00 Chinese products have come under intense scrutiny over safety concerns in recent months, prompting recalls of products from toys and toothpaste to seafood and tires. (www.reuters.com) :waughh: :waughh:  SurferJoe46 (51)
589654 2007-09-09 20:39:00 Similar backlash on Chinese manufactured goods here as well Joe .

As one example, supermarkets here are selling peanut butter at half price - I assume the reason being that it is made in China .

Where we shop, I have never seen so many people standing and looking for place of origin on labels .

Bad marketing by the Chinese .
