Hi all,
Thought I'd update with the latest saga . In the end I decides to install the harddrive in question into my system as a 2nd HD . Once again the Pc saw there was a drive there but treated it like it wasnt formattted .

So thru diskmanagment, I had to first delete the volume . Then formatted it(used quick format) . this worked fine, drive came up and was ready for use . So I threw some files at it, mp3s, video, jpg .

Did the chkdsk thing as suggested . Chewed thru it and came up no problems at all . So i left the Pc over night and the next day played the video and mp3 files off said drive and worked fine . Rebooted a few times, no problems .

Now I have reinstalled the drive into its external enclosure and plugged it in the the eSata connect and works just fine . :waughh:

Synced my files onto last night . Appears to be working correctly .
I just hope it still is when I get home tonight .

cheers, Vic .
