765397 2009-04-19 23:58:00 freeware, i would say WareZ lol but no warez hahaha. Darryl (5097)
765398 2009-04-20 02:36:00 Not too sure what you mean Darryl?

Can somebody post a link to Reflect Free version please? I'm interested... :D

Have used SyncBack, wasn't too bad, did the job though I guess.
I've used Ghost recently, that also did the job, but had to jump through some hoops to do-so.
Have been meaning to try Toucan, looks useful!

I find CloneZilla better although its harder to use

Can image 40gb drives in 10mins:D

Toucan is similar to SyncBack but comes in a portable edition.

Try out Paragon, it was offered at GAOTD a while ago but I have the installation files and a few extra keys from the signup page if you want it:):p

765400 2009-04-20 03:18:00 Hi Chilling S

I've been worried about my backups and have played with SyncBack. Reflect Free was next on my list so can you please let us know how you get on with it?

765402 2009-04-20 04:03:00 I use Norton Ghost a lot, or if I want to do anything seperate I just do it manually.

If I was going to use an actual backup program I think I'd try Comodo's one first, Their stuff is pretty good (and free!)

765403 2009-04-20 07:47:00 For backing up my documents and pictures folders I use Synctoy free from MS works perfectly well and is very easy to use. For complete images I have True image 11 gary67 (56)
765404 2009-04-20 08:09:00 Try this..plug in the drive, go to disk management(run>diskmgmt.msc)
Right Click your drive and select "change Drive letter and paths" select "add" and give it a letter.

See if that works

Blam

Gave that a try but the option "change drive letter and paths" and most other options are greyed out.

Delete volume is all i get...

765405 2009-04-20 08:23:00 Perform a chkdsk on it.

Run>cmd>chkdsk X: /f /r

Replace X with you external hard drives drive letter
