Balls = my reference is not to what the game is played with. Perhaps you need it made clearer, ie testicles, often found slightly above a human male's other genital organ.

Moron = someone who's somewhat imbecilic.

Any other clarification needed? Perhaps you're just pretending not to own a dictionary or don't have access to an online (dictionary.reference.com) one. Or you simply forgot that typos are a fact of life.

589029 2007-10-06 21:26:00 Oh crap . . . . . . . . . we lost . . . . . . . . :dogeye:

That wasn't suppose to happen . . . :stare:

The umpire sucked . . . . . . . but there were so many opportunities . . . . . . . . . . we just dropped the ball, knocked it on, didn't convert, didn't play to the ref, didn't deliver . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . oh crap . . . . we lost :groan:

 I'm pleased you know what a moron is - must come from your experiences I imagine.

589031 2007-10-06 21:31:00 I'm not sure what that word means - but if you want to find an excuse the referee is always a place to start until you come up with a better one. Listen to talk back - they'll be blaming squad rotation, tactics, the referee, the weather and the length of the grass.

I have noticed over the years the referee always favours the team I don't support.Did you actually watch the game? There were some very questionable and just blatantly incorrect calls, and things the ref (and the touch refs) simply missed, which should've been extremely obvious. I don't think he was necessarily biased - I think most of those calls (and missed calls) can be put down to inexperience on the part of the ref - but he should never have been up for this game, the skill simply wasn't there. Of particular note were those two french tries - one when we were down a man for completely legal play, and the other of the back of a very forward pass.

The ABs should have won that game, no question. Yes the French played well, but at the end of the day it was the ref who handed them the match :groan:.

Yes I watched the game and undoubtedly the referee made mistakes - as they always do in every sport in every game. A good team though overcomes that and the All Blacks had their chances and couldn't do it. If we'd benefited from a mistake in the last minute and won by a point, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

589033 2007-10-06 21:39:00 As per my post below I do think we could have turned things around and come out winners regardless of the unfortunate umpiring but ...... Yes I think this umpire should be held accountable for making such a high impact call in such an important game as well should the touch judges ... I think they have many questions to answer and hope they are made examples of so the rest of the World cup can be won by teams and not the blowing of a whistle. never-u-mind (6500)

Lets go and burn the Refs and touch judges house then . . . like they do it in Cricket in Asia !!

You know i dont feel as gutted as i did in 2003 when AB's lost .
I think its because i expected this and i associate AB's now with Chokers!

And come 2011 another dumping of AB's will be even less of a impact on me !!!

Support the SPRINGBOKS !!!

We cant see a Northern Hemisphere team win and make a mockery of the southern rugby style choking in big games!
