2009-04-16 21:13:00 | Hi, I am having trouble locating my Firefox temp files. When using Internet Explorer I simply go to Tools/Internet Options/Settings (Temp Internet Files)/View Files and they are all listed. Can someone please give me the same type of directions so I can locate my Firefox Temp Files. Thanks heaps, | Aporosa (5671) | |

The only thing to remember is, you won't get a nice list of files etc that you do with IE. The Firefox/Mozilla/SeaMonkey cache is "encrypted" in a randomly named folder & randomly named files. This addon (addons.mozilla.org) looks to give you an IE-like cache view. |

2009-04-16 22:24:00 | I read the four suggested Press F1 links but they didn't answer my question. Specifically this link (forums.pcworld.co.nz) was supposed to detail how I could find my Firefox temp (chache) file. It said to go Tools/Options/Privacy/Chache but there is NO Chache??? Can someone please give me simple directions so I can find the list of Firefox temp file (as you can do with Internet Explorer)? Cheers, | Aporosa (5671) | |
2009-04-16 22:42:00 | Thanks autechre, are you saying that I will not be able to locate .flv files etc.. and copy and past them like I can do with IE? | Aporosa (5671) | |
2009-04-17 01:50:00 | Should be in: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles if you are using this to download youtube videos, just save the below text as a bookmark and click it when a youtube video is playing to download it: javascript:if(document.location.href.match(/http:\/\/[a-zA-Z\.]*youtube\.com\/watch/)){document.location.href='www.youtube.com(isHDAvailable?'22':'18')+'&video_id='+swfArgs['video_id']+'&t='+swfArgs['t']} Name it Get Video Blam

2009-04-19 23:06:00 | Thanks autechre, are you saying that I will not be able to locate .flv files etc.. and copy and past them like I can do with IE? You will, but it will be more difficult than in IE. The CacheViewer addon that I posted earlier looks to give you the same sort of list as in IE and you should be able to copy anything out of the cache & rename as necessary. If you're regularly trying to copy YouTube videos out of your cache, use the javascript that Blam6 posted or go to a site like KeepVid (http://keepvid.com/) to download.
