591100 2007-09-14 05:20:00 As you know World Exchange does that $50 credit to the person who recommends someone else who joins up.
I joined up on the business number with them so I asked her if my residential one will get $50 credit for recommending myself.
Yep, I do.

 Good on YA!

Wonder if the Sky offer of "join a friend" would work - say you are friends with yourself or partner :)

591103 2007-09-14 11:41:00 Yea it's a good scheme.

My Xnet bill last month was $1!

And I should get another credit this month

As we all know that the best form of advertising is word of mouth... and this encourages it.

591105 2007-09-14 13:02:00 I love WorldXchange. I pay around $30 (including LOTS of toll calls) for a phone line that would be around $100+ a month with Telecom, and the service is simply stunning.

This is VoIP I'm talking about.

Yes, I am hooked up to xnet as well and have been using their voip service with a linksys router since november last year, Its brillant, always on and clearer than telecoms 0161 at times..
My wife makes a lot of calls to Thailand which at 9 cents a minute to call a mobile or landline in thailand is way cheaper than anything telecom can do ..
I'll be switching off my telecom phone line and moving the number to xnet as soon as naked dsl comes on :-)

591107 2007-09-14 20:58:00 Well I got someone to recommend me back in June and Xnet still haven't credited my account. They keep saying "next month". :(

Also have tolls with them and on the last bill there were a handful of local calls charged as toll calls. "A mistake" they said it was.

Much as I like Xnet I'm not exactly impressed by their accounts section so far. :( :(

591108 2007-09-15 01:24:00 It's funny, the way they operate I just don't understand how they make any profit at all.

It's been about 6 months and they've probably just broken even with me now. My DSE PAP2T didn't work and they sent me a far, far better WAG54G router with two VoIP lines in it - for free.

If I refered someone to them that'd set things back another two months for them ($50).

They don't spend thousands (or is it hundreds of thousands?) of dollars on newspaper/TV/radio advertising....
