2007-09-13 10:01:00 | http://www.tradestead.com/ Am thinking of importing 2 of these babies: www.tradestead.com Works out (for 2, plus fedex shipping) to be $440 NZD. Just wondering if anyone has used them before or knows if they are any good? I'm sure they will be, but just checking.

2007-10-20 02:55:00 | Yeah, I wouldn't buy from these guys. Most companies don't need their staff to post on international forums to let consumers feel better. Buy from NZ or a reputable company atleast. | beeswax34 (63) | |
2007-10-20 04:18:00 | Wow, I posted this some time ago. Ended up buying some from eBay. And yeah, if anything, that 'comment' would've put me off buying from them.

2007-10-20 08:03:00 | Well, I'm going to stick my neck out with an opposing opinion here. I hate spammers on this forum and - as the Mods will know - regularly report them, as I'm often online in the small hours when the northern hemisphere ones turn up. But in this case, I viewed the company's post as legitimate & simply good entrepreneurial business practice. It wasn't unsolicited spamming. It was a reply (admittedly 5 weeks late ) to a member's comment that he was "thinking of importing 2." So they sent some more details. I'm not in business myself, so you could rightfully say this isn't my field. But I certainly hope our own exporters are aware enough of internet opportunities to follow this example if the countries were reversed. Sadly, they probably can't read Chinese forums.

2008-04-25 08:27:00 | Hi yes I have used Tradestead. I bought two products to test, a baby monitor and digital photo keychain, these amounted to over $200 and both products don't work. After a long battle trying to get my money back they are ignoring my emails. I have no other option but to take legal action against them. Don't buy from tradestead.com, it's a scam site that charges good money for useless products and I want everyone to know about them. http://www.tradestead.com/ Am thinking of importing 2 of these babies: www.tradestead.com Works out (for 2, plus fedex shipping) to be $440 NZD. | 590804 | 2008-06-24 20:08:00 | DO NOT USE TRADESTEAD.COM I odered a 8GB TOUCHSCREEN MP4 PLAYER 2/12/08 Within a few hours, I contacted them to cancel but was told too late. Took them 10 days til 2/22/08 to ship. Guess they have to order it first, nothing in stock for the entire store. Received in a week on 2/29/08. Item works for a few minute then prompt to format to 1.25GB. Until then, I realized it was tweaked/faked to display 8GB while it is a 1.25GB unit. I contacted customer service on 3/6/08 for return/exchange item by email after few attempt to contact to a U.S. location. (It is only a phone & address setup, no answers.) They tried to convince me thru email that I need to format the unit. I told them that whatever I do, it is still 1.25GB unit. After all, they agreed for me to return it to their warehouse at my cost. I returned item on 5/9/08. It's been almost 2 months with at least 20 emails request refund/exchange & 10 tickets filed on their website. Now they have my money & the goods both. I am still waiting to hear from them. When you google their name, it sounds like a sucessful company with huge sale report. It is all a progaganda with modified press releases. My total loss $120 www.tradestead.com is a scam. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. 6/24/08

2008-06-24 22:48:00 | SouthernBoy: I'm assuming that you paid by Visa or Mastercard. You can, by contacting Visa or Mastercard, dispute the payment. They will, usually, act on your behalf and if you are fortunate, you can have the payment reversed. I understand that you dispute the payment after the payment has been made. Don't know why. It seems that is the way that it works. I have had an experience with a British firm. I ordered one product - they sent many and with each new product they sent they continued to charge my card. Visa were very helpful and I recovered all my money and the firm did not ask for the return of the unwanted product, but then I was not going to pay for them to be returned and they did not offer!
