591807 2007-09-17 00:49:00 I hope Ford sue the transport departments ass.
It isnt the cars fault it didnt go around the corner its the tyre.
They should of used a holden instead of a Henry, then only idiots would have complained.

591808 2007-09-17 01:05:00 Doesn't matter what car you used, someone would get pissed off.

The type of car doesn't matter anyway - the point they're trying to get across is simple - the faster you go around a corner the more likely you are to stuff up

591809 2007-09-17 01:28:00 Of course it matters, It makes the Ford look unsafe.

Poor effort, and a waste of huge money.

Hell, They could have used some obscure Europe trash and whacked a couple of moulds on it to disguise it.

591810 2007-09-17 02:21:00 I thought the point of the ad was to show that NZ roads are sh*t, and it's like driving on a minefield. roddy_boy (4115)
591811 2007-09-17 02:39:00 Bottom line is don't drive a ford they are rubbish for those who might have stayed up late last night the sandown 500 was on and the first car into the garage with brake problems was yip you gussed it a ford. Eight fords didn't finish the race due to mechanical problems, There were only three HOLDENS that didn't finish the race.

I better defend myself on this part before somone jumps on me and says YER but who won the race i know it was a ****ty ford but if mark skaife wasnt ill after his operation id say HOLDEN would have won it. HOLDEN came second which happened to be rick kelly and now he leads the championship over his team mate garth tander.HOLDEN RULZ.Holden v Ford - who cares! They're just cars!

591813 2007-09-17 05:20:00 Yeah, the people at fault should be NZ's roads....or is the army involved?

I personally think it's stupid the whole sueing thing. A car has to be used. End of story. Ford should just think of it as advertising. Besides, as we all know, there aren't landmines on the road 99.8% of the time, so I think everyone should get over the ad.

591814 2007-09-17 05:36:00 Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the car actually go round a corner too fast and spin out like it did, or understeer off a cliff or something?

Adding land mines into the equation ruins everything about the ad.

Edit: And the guy is a fool - he turned the wheel the wrong way and basically DROVE off the cliff.

591816 2007-09-17 06:13:00 typical ford :(

what ford are really wingeing about is their new ford falcons have stability control which is meant to stop you 'loosing it' on a corner. but in typical pen pushing style they forgot the basics, stability control, abs etc etc CAN NOT do anything when the wheels loose traction due to going into a corner wrong. its the same sort of nonsense as "AWD makes the car safer" :(

the ad just shot holes in fords marketing. they now have to rely on a real car to sell rather than gimmicks.
