591110 2007-09-15 04:07:00 Well I got someone to recommend me back in June and Xnet still haven't credited my account. They keep saying "next month". :(

Recommend you?
They give you credit if you tell someone else to join and they do.

Then they have to be joined for a month first, and then you get the credit on your next months bill after that. So its not immediate....

591111 2007-09-15 07:11:00 It's funny, the way they operate I just don't understand how they make any profit at all.

It's been about 6 months and they've probably just broken even with me now. My DSE PAP2T didn't work and they sent me a far, far better WAG54G router with two VoIP lines in it - for free.

If I refered someone to them that'd set things back another two months for them ($50).

They probably don't make that much money, probably enough to make some comfortable wages. They are probably aiming to sell the company in the future, where they will make the profit. If they have a large market share and a lot of customers, it could be a valuable business. eg. look at the trade me sale.

591112 2007-10-16 03:22:00 As they say, "It's just not normal!" Can't wait to hook up with their new broadband/voice package in November when it becomes available in Taupo. And yes, I am due for a $50 credit next month. lakewoodlady (103)

How did you manage that? Why did they take responsibility for someone else's faulty equipment?
