766539 2009-04-20 10:43:00 Friends, a few weeks ago my broadband speed collapsed. My 3 MB connection now renders me (www.speedtest.net, connection Napier from Auckland) a speed between 0/23 and 0.87 for download and 0.03 - 0.07 for upload. the paradise technician wants to know my Alcatel Speedtouch pro attaianable line speed, however, logging into my modem I do not see it anywhere displayed. i downloaded a very old little program but that did not work either as it was no longer supported. How can I find out what that speed is. The broadband connection is a shambles at the moment !!
Thanks
Johan

These reports are great, but it seems it does not work under Vista. I have the run option enabled under the <start> button, but it will not accept telnet as a launchable program...........

Go to Program Features, on left pane select "Turn Windows Features on or off"

Tick telnet client and go OK

766543 2009-04-21 09:29:00 This is great information! Thanks so much.
My downloadspeed with speedtest.net is now 0.20 MB, upload 0.03 and the attainable linespeed download 5132, upload 900. Guess I now have to call Paradise again.

Cheers !
