| 766238 | 2009-04-19 03:14:00 | What you should try first is the system file checker. Run>sfc /scannow. If it asks for an XP CD insert yours. When it is done, restart. Download HijackThis (www.trendsecure.com), save to desktop, and copy+paste logfile here for analysis. As long as you have a retail disc you should be able to repair install fine. Here (www.michaelstevenstech.com)is a tutorial if you are unsure. If the OEM key on the PC doesn't work, you may need to ring MS up and sort it out. I would try the above steps first, as it should be fixable. What Antivirus is instaleld and what did you use to scan for malware? Blam |
