765809 2009-04-17 07:04:00 Hi Everyone!

Im looking to buy a good mice under $50

Any ideas for a good mice? I was thinking of the Genius Ergo 555...

$50 is the absoloute maximum,

I plan on using the mice for the long-haul (5 years) I know this sounds like a long time, but then, im cheap.

I need a mouse that is ergonomic, because i will be using it for CAD and occasional gaming.

What I dont want is a plain 3 button mice that you can get for $5 from the warehouse (Bragging Rights and Status you see )

Thanks!

765810 2009-04-17 07:44:00 We've got about 4 of these around home (We've got quite a big network here, techie family): qmb.co.nz

They're all pretty good :)

Ive got one of these for my EeePC, and its good for taking on the road:

That said, you sometimes just cant go past a good Microsoft Mouse:

765811 2009-04-17 08:01:00 I have a wireless notebook 6000 from MS on my desktop as I have small hands and the notebook mice tend to be smaller. I don't particularly like wired mice. But I see you want mice possibly try your local pet store....... gary67 (56)

765813 2009-04-17 08:21:00 Personally I would avoid genuis if possible.
From this (www.xsreviews.co.uk) it seems that the mouse is good, but has a few fatal flaws.

Get something like the MX518 (pconlineshop.co.nz) or the MX400 (pconlineshop.co.nz), if you don't need 100 macro buttons...

Unless you're a hardcore gamer I doubt you will see much difference between the laser mice, so just get which ever one you feel most comfortable with.

765814 2009-04-17 21:09:00 Mouse. Mice is the plural.
I'm with Blam6 - Logitech, never Genius.

765815 2009-04-18 03:48:00 Blam/Pctek: :oYeah, i was a bit weary of going with Genius, it looked too "fishy" and not much of a reputation compared to Logitech

DeSade: Let the poor man find comfort in his little pet :wub lol

gary67: yes i want mice as well, unfortunatly my neigbour's cat seems to think that anything with a tail is its lunch :annoyed:

chilling_silence: The mice that you showed me looked like rip-offs (sorry, but there seemed to be no flashy lights or thumb grips, and that kind of stuff) Although the V320 looked good :)

Forgive my spelling and grammer, its a messs:groan:

765816 2009-04-18 04:03:00 I wouldn't get the logitech V series if I were you...they're made for laptops, and are much smaller than normal mice.

Here are some options maybe:
