2009-04-23 09:49:00 | Several weeks ago I downloaded Juice and with the exception of an inoperative "Directory" section, and getting an occasional error message that didn't seem to have any effect, was doing fine. Oddly enough I was unable to update the directory and was unable to contact "support". Now suddenly I get the following when I try to load "Juice". I have looked all over Google for solutions and am beginning to wonder: is Juice still being supported at all? It seemed to work so well... I have uninstalled and re-installed - no different. Have they vanished never to be found again? OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory Traceback (most recent call last): File "gui.py", line 4, in ? File "iPodderGui.pyc", line 3573, in main File "ipodder\configuration.pyc", line 468, in __init__ File "os.pyc", line 153, in makedirs File "os.pyc", line 154, in makedirs OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory Traceback (most recent call last): File "gui.py", line 4, in ? I find Winamp almost incomprehensible and iTunes excessive for my purpose. All I want to do is download lectures to my MP3 and it was working OK. Any ideas? Thanks!

2009-04-23 09:58:00 | Heres the solution, Juices' incompatibility with Vista! 1. Go to C:\ProgramFiles and fine your installtion folder for Juice and open it 2. Right-click the exe, flip to the Compatibility tab, place a checkmark in the ‘Run this program in compatibility mode’, then press the OK 3. Open Ipodder.cfg with Notepad and change the output directory from “My Documents” to “Documents” - which is found under C:\Users\username\appdata\Roaming\iPodder Blam

2009-04-24 01:15:00 | HI BLAM6 and thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I did not clarify that I am using XP SP3. I did check on the exe file, but nothing there having to do with compatibility. But - there WAS a compatibility folder but once again, nothing about "run in compatibility mode". I did use Notepad to find the iPodder folder under C:\D&S\username\appdata\Ipodder but nothing of interest there. I assume your instructions are totally correct for Vista, but not for XPSP3. Any further thoughts? I suppose I can always uninstall & reinstall but I had lots of nice stuff there and it DID work OK for a while. Anyway - many thanks for your advice.

2009-04-24 01:42:00 | Has this started happening recently? If so you can try system restore back to when it didn't happen. It won't affect your documents/data, only programs. Should be Start Menu>Accessories>System Tools>System restore Blam Blam

2009-04-24 02:31:00 | BLAM6: AHA! Finally found the answer by chance in Wikipedia. Juice has not continued development after 2006. It appears to have morphed into much a similar program found at PodNova.com. I uninstalled Juice and I'm now experimenting and gettng "checked out for solo". Thanks for your help!
