| 767613 | 2009-04-22 21:24:00 | Trying to put one computer together out of three old P4's Two full sets of Board, Graphics, Ram, CPU were working fine when I removed them from their cases maybe a year ago. So in picking the higher spec'd bits of each and putting them into one. I have tried with just CPU installed and get a series of long beeps. If I put in Memory no beeps. I have tried shuffling the components ram, CPU graphics and still not getting anything to the screen. I have tried 2 different PSU's also both of these were working prior to removal. I have the board out of the case on the table on a huge sheet of 5mm cardboard, but I was also getting the same results in the case. I did look through pressf1.co.nz and still nothing to the screen. I am running out of ideas. The bits I have to work with: Asus P4V800-X board and Asus P4C800 Deluxe Gigabyte GV-N55128DP AGP graphics and Two barely used PCI Graphic Cards Pentium 4 3.02, 3.2, 3.4 CPU's to choose from 6 sticks of Corsair Ram to choose from 2 x 17" CRT Philips Monitors 1 420W PSU, 1 450W PSU |

No green light at all when PC is switched on, but when the graphic card is in and monitor is not connected it tells me on the screen that it is not connected that message goes away when i plug in the monitor. | Bantu (52) | ||
