2009-04-21 06:17:00 | Have recently used this to resize the partitions on a dual boot system. OS's are Vista & XP Pro. Three partitions, one each for OS's & third for data. Operation was carried out on Vista as it is the main system. Operation appeared to be sucessfull & has been running on Vista for about a week since. Just tryed to boot into XP but it stops at the XP loading screen just prior to desktop. I also renamed the data partition after the resizing. I guess I'll have to boot from the XP CD to fix it, but not sure what would be the best approach from there without upsetting the dual boot setup.

2009-04-21 10:12:00 | When you resized the partitions it probably moved some files such as pagefil.sys and hiberfil.sys, which should not be moved. A repair install should fix it. Blam

2009-04-21 10:14:00 | See if this is of any help - Download EasyBCD (neosmart.net) into Vista ( since its working) Recreate the boot loader for XP. Have a look at This article (apcmag.com _first__the_stepbystep_guide.htm) Step 4 is where you want to be. If you work as if Vista is Loaded first, then XP installed this may solve your problem.

2009-04-21 10:58:00 | Just looking at the Easy BCD, I don't see the option to restore the "XP" boot loader. | Driftwood (5551) | |
2009-04-21 11:06:00 | Does it give This option (neosmart.net) to add in the XP OS ? | wainuitech (129) | |
