| 766804 | 2009-04-21 05:50:00 | Hi Team Just went to play a short FLV video and got a box saying my Flash was too old and I needed at least version 255. No probs I thought, went and got Version 10 (couldn't find anything referring to three-digit version numbers but i still get the same message. That was the IE version, so I went and installed the Firefox version instead, but got the same message. Both were the correct versions for Windows 2000 etc. So, a reboot or two and several re-installs later I still can't play the FLV file (which played OK direct from Utube by the way) and I'm buggered if I can see what I've done/am doing wrong. Any ideas? Cheers Billy 8-{) :stare: |

FLV media player. You can't always play .flv files once you've downloaded them to your PC. Untick the option to install Yahoo toolbar during the installation. VLC media player also normally play FLVs. |

I use Ztree, locate the cache temp file (I order all the files on the C drive by by time and date and it is always in the first 10) then rename it and move it to the required folder. It is quick and easy, and I've been doing that for some time without problems. I tried various rippers but nothing was as reliable or fast and most seemed to stop working after a period. It is the same file that played on screen so I know there is nothing wrong with it. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
