Note that it is not actually called a ray-gun, but rather the Silent Guardian. But it is a ray gun.

Edit: The US military didn't invent it, a company called Raytheon did...

593229 2007-09-20 11:12:00 With a snazzy new case, it will be released as the iPain. R2x1 (4628)

Ah, that explains where I got the idea that it was developed by the military from then...

593233 2007-09-21 12:18:00 great, yet another way for the government to control the very people it is meant to serve

while i don't oppose police using tasers, i do oppose them tasing a guy who they already have pinned on the ground, purely because he doesn't agree with being arrested for freedom of speech (www.youtube.com) (and yes that was john kerry he was questioning, and no i didn't hear anything on the news about it either)

593234 2007-09-22 02:42:00 I don't mind him being tasered at all. He was becoming a public nuisance and continued to do so after being asked to stop and resisted living.

Its opinions like yours that prevents our own Police from being tougher and being proactive.

593235 2007-09-22 06:04:00 sure he was a crackpot, and i support tasers for guys who actually pose a physical threat, but they were arresting him for freedom of speech rather than letting john jerry shoot him down.

why did they need to taser the guy when they already had 4 cops on him?

593236 2007-09-23 04:25:00 The US government has even more painful weapons: try listening to the President, or any of his advisers. Graham L (2)
