| 592266 | 2007-09-18 05:00:00 | Oh No! It can't happen! ( . theregister . co . uk/2007/09/17/vista_hit_by_stoned_angelina/" target="_blank">www . theregister . co . uk) Maybe it's the baby of Angelina! On its website ( . bullguard . com/support/tech-guides/how-to-remove-stonedangelina . aspx" target="_blank">www . bullguard . com) Bullguard offered some reassurance to Medion customers hit by the virus: "Stoned . Angelina is a low-risk boot virus that infects the MBR (Master Boot Record) of hard disks . This is a very old virus . Apart from its ability to spread from computer to computer, it carries no payload (damage) to the systems it infects . " Oh Yeah? Well how is a 0-sector virus not dangerous? Maybe because of Administrator's Rights denial in Vista, but I guess it CAN have a go at XP and 2000 again . ibid: " . . . . . . . also saw the arrival of a boot sector computer virus known as Stoned . Angelina which moved the original master boot record to cylinder 0, head 0, sector 9 . " |
