Fairly successful at it too. apple make computers that can run M$ software. What are you trying to say. Ken Apple make the OS and the hardware it runs on. MS only makes the OS which now runs natively on OS X.:D I am not anti mac. I actually looked at one in Noel Leeming for Hi Def editing a couple of years ago but found they looked and felt a bit plasticky - really expensive and wouldn't really go well with my software... Bought an HP Core Duo laptop. Cheaper, and it processes Hi Def video editing with much gusto! You looked (at the hardware) but didn't use it (software) so you only got half the picture. Glad your happy with what you have though. What video editing software do you currently use? |

| 592314 | 2007-09-19 07:51:00 | Here's an interesting though. What if MS did with Windows whas Apple has done with Mac OS, and only sell it on computers they built? That depends, have you seen what happens when MS designs and builds its own hardware - it usually sells it at a loss, Apple sells theirs at a profit, MS has a propencity to blowup and require massive product recalls or just not sell very well. Fortunately you can either run Windows or Linux on a PC or a Mac and with a Mac you can run OS X, Windows and Linux. For the record, Steve Wozniak was the electronics/hardware guru, Steve Jobs is the design loving/sales guy and Bill G is the software architect - no hardware skills hence MS is a software company. Microsoft has also become a huge lumbering giant which can no longer manoeuvre to meet the constantly changing demands of the software/electronics market even though it still has momentum. Kenj, you still haven't said what video editing software you use??? |
