There seems to be a steady string of them just to keep the issue in the forefront of people's minds. perhaps that's because it isn't a conspiracy... ever considered that? i read an article today discussing the currently unknown effects of all the fresh water messing with the ocean currents (and how the greenland ice shelf is enough for a 2m seal level rise). yet another ecological/metereological disaster beginning to happen thanks to human activity and burning fossil fuels.:groan: |

You can read articles everyday. Doesn't mean you should believe them all   |

| 593674 | 2007-10-20 23:47:00 | it's hardly hysteria, and that article was well reasoned and made perfect sense. similarly the whole global warming debate is based on scientific observations, as such, from viewing all the information i've seen so far i draw my own conclusion that we are infact altering the earths climate beyond it's natural cycle. all you skeptics simply seem to listen only to what you want to hear, and i suspect because that is what is easier for you - the old "change is bad" mentality. still, the fact is that we're going to be forced off fossil fuels soon enough anyway, and it's not really going to be the end of the world until missles start flying - which could happen at any time for any reason |

Hysterical believers are blind to alternative theories. I'd quite happily go along with it if there was a scientific consensus but there isn't. Alot of articles on both sides of the argument make 'perfect sense'. Look - we should be looking for alternative fuels regardless of global warming. No argument there. |

| 593679 | 2007-10-21 00:18:00 | it's hardly hysteria, and that article was well reasoned and made perfect sense . . . . we call this "greenwash" . . akin to hogwash, whitewash and unwashed . I freely admit that mankind CAN bring about SOME change to the environment . . . but not on the scale we are witnessing . . . . . . Just force China to come off the coal dust standard and see what happens . . . not much . . . but it is a good thing anyway . |
