| 767235 | 2009-04-23 06:42:00 | Every time i add new contacts I export my outlook address book as an excel file saves losing them all. I export them as a .csv as outlook can import that back and so can gmail | gary67 (56) | ||
| 767236 | 2009-04-23 07:54:00 | Seriously consider starting a new pst file. You can always open the old one to view old emails. I actually have been seriously considering this, but I find the Outlook Help files rather obscure and confusing [need more chocolate] and I can't see exactly how I can switch between the two PST files. I was going to archive older files as well but again, I need regular access to previous business correspondence, I couldn't see how to call them up as and when needed, and I don't have unlimited time to play with it. On the brighter side, I have plenty of backup files to practice on because I regularly make copies of my PST file to an external drive. I think I have a sequence of about five stored at present.
