1437987 2017-08-10 02:17:00 B E is looking rather shifty about those texts.

BE and his housing allowance scam, worse than the txt's. A pattern is emerging ?
Despite being on a huge salary (Not struggling on the dole) , he scammed the system for thousands .
He knew it was immoral , a legal scam of allowances, used "family trust" to ream us taxpayers for $$$

And lets not forget the Labor MP spending $90K on taxis, just so he wouldnt have to drive himself (as most MPs & us plebs do) ...just for a bit of balance :banana

This from MPs earning good money, not struggling to survive .

1437988 2017-08-10 05:05:00 The worst thing that Ms. Turei did was to initiate a deluge of sanctimonious claptrap from the holier-than-thou brigade. Anything to avoid addressing the real issues facing the country. Jayess64 (8703)
1437989 2017-08-10 05:37:00 We should draw comfort from the fact we are not alone. :D

1437990 2017-08-11 03:00:00 You are of course pretty well correct in that they all play the rules to the very limit when it comes to their own pockets. That is the whole lot of them without exception no matter which party they belong to. B E is looking rather shifty about those texts. I liked him as Finance Minister, PM not so much.

It is my opinion that it is time for National to go, they are making some dumb mistakes and have become too arrogant for my tastes. The only problem with that is that their replacements are not likely to be any better.

Never mind when we are all under water when the ice melts I guess we will not be worried about politics to much.

+1

I have a little sympathy for English over the texts - he personally knew both involved, and was almost certainly well respected by both. It'd have been quite easy for him to be dragged in, without it being due to his official capacity.
You're spot on about National though :)

1437991 2017-08-11 04:20:00 I agree with Wal, it is the lack of remorse that gets me.
This arrogant cow incites these bludgers to steal more from the tax-payer and never admits it was the wrong thing to do, good riddance.

Thing is that it sets a terrible precedent in law which the next mongrel can point to as a defense for their own offending.

Quite the bleeding-heart progressive aren't you?

Aww BM, Lampreys have as much right to survival as you, surely? :D

Charity begins at home Dave, and I suggest that $3 M would be better spent on humans waiting for elective surgery, as opposed to some randy Lampreys having sex in a drain. :groan:

Hmmm, I'm not convinced it's an either/or situation.
It's not central government money, ratepayers will end up footing the bill as far as I know.
So it was never going to fund a single elective operation.
Hope this clears up your misconception.

Although it should really be the subdivision developers paying, in my opinion.
