Every tech out there has re-used OEM Win & Office keys where they shouldnt have . Just a fact of life. Perhaps MS are seeing OEM as just not worth the hassle ? |

| 1437138 | 2017-08-03 22:59:00 | Or maybe they just realised people weren't willing to pay the retail price and they were selling a lot more OEM licences than retail anyway. Might as well align the pricing to reflect reality, get's them some goodwill and probably has minimal effect on profits. I only ever bought OEM for my personal use and I suspect the majority of build-it-yourself enthusiasts were the same so really what market does that leave for retail copies of windows? Most other users get windows supplied with the machine and just stick with it. |
