1437281 2017-08-04 10:06:00 I'm sure we took out a pressure reducer, can't remeber what and where but it was obvious once I found it. Go visit your local plumbing centre and have a chat, they will probably be able to advise you. Take a photo of the mixer bit to show them. Ofthesea (14129)
1437282 2017-08-04 10:08:00 It might be in the shower head. plod (107)
1437283 2017-08-04 10:26:00 Ofthesea: Local Plumbing Centre? You mean those plumbing retailers?

1437284 2017-08-04 21:18:00 Got my old shower mixer replaced as well and found that the shower water pressure is so low that it's not even half of my old shower mixer. Phoned the installer (he supplied all the stuff) and he told me that ALL NEW shower mixers have a pressure restricter to regulate the water pressure.
.

Husband says what a load of ****.
Probably installed the wrong mixer, if you have a low pressure system, you need a low pressure mixer. Even the so-called "all pressure" ones are not really suitable.,

Make him change it.

1437285 2017-08-04 21:51:00 I have Mains Pressure Hot water cylinder and my water pressure is very good in the whole house.

This bas%$# guy insisted that it's the right mixer. My blood pressure is going up.

1437286 2017-08-04 23:04:00 Get a large bucket and let it fill from the shower head for exactly one minute. Then measure how much water it holds and work out the rate in litres/min. About 7-8 L/min seems to be what most new water saving shower heads put out, unless you got one that blasts out at full bore.

Edit: I just saw that you have tried changing shower heads with no change. Still, measuring the output could be helpful, especially if you repeat that experiment using the kitchen tap and compare results.

1437287 2017-08-04 23:21:00 Is it mandatory that all new shower mixers / showers must be of low pressure and meet certain flow rate per min? bk T (215)

Ok, if you have mains - that is HIGH pressure, not low.
So it shouldn't matter what mixer you have.

You sure it's mains? It IS written on the hot water cylinder label.

And no, mixers, new or not, do NOT have restrictors, that's crap.

If you do have mains and it's crap, insist he fix the issue. If he doesn't, you can get another plumber to do so and bill it to the first.
Plumbing board will back you up on it.

1437289 2017-08-05 09:20:00 I am very certain that I have Mains Pressure system as shown here:

Don't tell me he gave me low pressure mixer and put in a pressure reducer!

If I were to get my own plumber, he should be able to identify whether it's a low pressure or a Mains pressure mixer, right?
