1437825 2017-08-04 03:51:00 It may have an RT3062 chipset. You could try the Win10 drivers from here. (www.edimax.com)

This adapter isnt the same adapter as yours. But, it does use the RT3062 chipset

1437826 2017-08-04 04:50:00 Thanks Speedy.
Is that the correct link, only RT3062 I could see was for Linux.

1437827 2017-08-04 05:00:00 Refresh the screen.. It is there under the linux download . or click here (www.edimax.com)

It says 5.0.1.1 Support OS:Windows10 Languages:English 2016-12-29. I dont know if this includes 64 bit, the file in the zipped file is an exe file

1437828 2017-08-04 05:47:00 Got it, ran the install, no change.
I notice the driver version & is not changing, maybe thats the problem
Lists it as:

Version 5.0.57.0
Date 18/5/2015

Tried 3 different drivers for it now, all appear to be installing correctly but the one listed in properties dosent change.
Uninstalled it each time.
Even moved it to another PCI slot.

1437829 2017-08-04 07:34:00 Does it work when running a live Linux USB or CD, or with an earlier Windows OS?
To confirm that the thing is not faulty and therefore your efforts futile.

1437830 2017-08-04 08:22:00 This system is actually dual booted with Linux Mint 18 & it doesn't show up on that either.
So I'm thinking it may be stuffed.
Driftwood (5551)
1437831 2017-08-04 10:07:00 It may be stuffed as you say, or perhaps the driver is not included in the Linux kernel?
You may have to install a driver for it to work, or you could try using a Windows XP driver under NDISWrapper
community.linuxmint.com

But that is a whole new kettle of fish.

1437832 2017-08-05 01:56:00 I just had a look at this thing in linux.
It shows up in PCI Devices as Ralink RT3062 Wireless 802.11n 2T/2R
But dosent show up in Network Connections.
I downloaded the Linux driver from the site in Speedy's link but I'm not to comfortable working under the hood in Linux, it reminds me of windows 3.1.
Just searching through solutions on the net now.

1437833 2017-08-06 12:37:00 If you run lspci (Lower-case "L" at the start there), that should show it in linux even if there's no drivers. Chilling_Silence (9)
