1437613 2017-07-24 22:43:00 Have you noticed that, on this forum, you are not allowed to broach the same subject more than once? The "repeat" police are always watching and if you do duplicate a previous post, they will be down on you along with a link to your former post - no matter how long ago it was - to show how you have misbehaved.

What's wrong with revisiting a previous post? You may have more to say on that subject or you may just want to reiterate a point that you made.

So what do the "repeat" police have to say about that? Why can't you say the same thing more than once? Can't see what the objection is.:illogical

1437614 2017-07-24 23:29:00 Are you talkin' post within a thread, of topics/threads themselves ?

It depends if the post/thread is a repeated opinion piece
or a repeated question/help request (not OK)

~Repeated~ questions/helps requests : often the person ignores all the questions asked of him, and just starts again . So the whole process of diagnosing the issue also starts again.
And some people are simply lazy, where taking 5 minutes to do a quick search would have answered the question

I guess it depends on how long ago the original was posted up ?

1437615 2017-07-24 23:45:00 You mean like bringing up the rip off that bottled water is as a new topic every couple of years? Yes I noticed that.
Nothing wrong with having the same discussion again, nothing wrong with pointing out that we've had it before either. That's my opinion anyway.
There is probably a point at which it stops being interesting though.

For the help section I agree with 1101, repeat posts of the same question are not a good thing. The laziness thing can be annoying. I have literally cut and paste some questions straight into google and found the answer almost immediately.
